Always cook salmon in the oven? Try to grill or smoke on a cedar plank next time using this quick and easy recipe. 3 ingredients and 30 minutes for perfection.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 Atlantic or wild salmon fillet

  • Beef & Game Pit Rub

  • Lemon wedges

DIRECTIONS

  1. Soak a cedar plank in cold water for at least an hour.

  2. Light your Pit Barrel® according to the instructions.

  3. Remove the fish from the package, rinse gently with cold water, pat dry with paper towels, and remove any pin bones (if present).

  4. Cut the fillet into serving-size portions.

  5. Lightly dust both sides of each portion with Beef & Game Pit Rub, and place on the cedar plank.

  6. Install the grill grate in the Pit Barrel®, put the cedar plank in the center, and secure the lid.

  7. Cook for 30 minutes, or until the fish is flaky and to your desired doneness.

  8. Remove the plank from the cooker and serve with a squeeze of lemon.
